Let's say you're looking for a new team mate or someone to help you out. Either to work together, to employ, to take care of your cats while you're on vacation or even someone you need for the football team that you regularly play with.
Who do you go and ask for suggestions? Your professional or social circles of course. This is where refpool comes in handy.
Refpool uses your social and professional contacts on platforms like twitter, linkedin and facebook to help you find the person you are looking for. Login with your accounts, create a post and share it with just one click on all your social/professional circles. It's that easy. Then wait and collect references so you can decide who to team up with.
Why would you want to look for people based on references? If you're going to look for someone to work for or someone you hope you can trust with the job you'd like to give you would better be looking for people that is known to your friends and colleagues. It's always much better to side with people that your friends or others you trust recommend. On the other hand it's probably a really good idea not to pair up if your friends don't suggest!
It's written using nodejs (expressjs) on the back end and angularjs on the front end.
Unfortunately we had to stop the project as we ran out of funds. But we still keep it online for people who want to go and use it!
